ResPotNet at ESOF 2008
For the first time since launching the NCP network, ResPotNet was presented at the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF) 2008, in Barcelona, on 18-22 July 2008. To better introduce and promote the project, a stand was set up where all the EC info material about regional programmes and funding opportunities was displayed, together with the project flyers and posters. NCPs Italy and Spain have disseminated the information about the services provided by the Network.
The Forum was organised by EuroScience, in collaboration with the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation. It attracted more than 4.000 scientists, researchers, entrepreneurships and politicians form all over Europe. Around 123 sessions took place in the scientific programme, hosting 452 speakers from all scientific fields. More than 70 additional free activities for young people and families took place, including theatre, music, cookery, workshops and interactive installations.
Next ESOF Conference will take place in 2010 in Turin! We look forward to seeing you there!
