About the base

The preparation of a successful project financed under Research Potential FP7 requires cooperation with at least 3 European outstanding research "partnering organisations" in the same S&T domain or in a complementary field. The ResPotNET supports potential participants in the process of finding partners by offering access to the Research Organization Data Base.

The Partner Search Facilitator collects information on Research Centers that fulfill the requirements of FP7 Research Potential Work Programme: they are the highest quality or most promising research entities of significant size such as University Departments, Faculties or specialized Research Institutes. In PSF each Research Center is interlinked with the respective Research Organization (i.e. mother Research Organization). Potential of each Research Center is characterized both by achievements and infrastructure of Research Center, as well as information about Research Center human resources. Therefore, characteristic of the Research Center is interlinked with the CVs of the Key Researchers. Research Centers can submit project ideas and precise the type of partners sought for.

Therefore, the database consists of four interlinked levels:

Research Organization,
Research Center,
Key Researchers and
Project Ideas proposed by Research Center

Organization of data in the database enables to search for information at each of four levels of database Each level allows easy navigation to information in other levels. For example starting the search from Project Idea one can obtain, Project Idea characteristic and information on Research Center submitting it. Moreover one can view the list of Key Researchers (with CVs) and information on the Research Organization in which Research Center is located.
